INTRODUCTION
Pakistan Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PSBMB), founded in 1963, is one of the most active and prestigious scientific societies of Pakistan. The society organizes symposia and conferences with the participation of leading national and international scientists in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology to enlighten and share their research ideas and progress for mutual benefits. The 15th Biennial Conference of PSBMB will be participated by the young and the senior scientists from institutions all over Pakistan and many foreign countries.
The rapid advances made in the field of molecular sciences in the recent past have allowed understanding the life processes more deeply, providing an opportunity for the application of this knowledge for human benefits. Based on the powerful tools of AI it has become possible to design proteins with amazing properties more quickly. This conference shall deal with the recent progress in these and the other emerging areas in the fields of molecular biosciences. Some of the specific areas to be focussed shall be genomics, proteomics and metabolomics; protein structure, function and design; artificial intelligence in disease and drug development; industrial biotechnology; genetic improvement of crops and other areas of life sciences.
The conference program shall include plenary and invited talks, oral presentations and posters sessions. Participation in this conference should be rewarding both scientifically and otherwise, particularly for the younger researchers and scientists. The conference shall provide an opportunity to share research achievements, learn from the work of senior scientists and seek future collaborations. The conference program shall also include some social activities and refreshments to the liking of those having culinary interest.
